The 3D Team offers confidential support and treatment for vulnerable individuals with a drug dependency problem.

  • Relapse prevention group (RAIL)
  • Hep A and B screening and vaccinations
  • Support and access to Employment/Housing/Education/Training

Community Drugs Team

  • The Garage is an open access service available to users of all types of illicit drugs. The provision of services is based on assessment of individual needs.
  • Drug specialist care planning and co-ordination
  • Structured care planned counselling and therapy options
  • Community based detoxification services
  • Community based prescribing stabilisation and maintenance prescribing
  • Shared care: community based prescribing in partnership with GP’s in Doncaster Primary Care Trust
  • Drug Treatment and Testing Orders: community based assessment and structured treatment for offenders, as directed by the courts
  • Women’s service: assessment and treatment of pregnant women
  • Needle exchange
  • Hepatitis A/B vaccination programme
  • Early interventions: assessment and treatment of clients preparing to change their substance misusing behaviour
  • Inpatient drug detoxification: accessed via assessment of needs at the Garage
  • Residential rehabilitation services: access to out of area services via Community Care Assessment at the Garage
  • Complementary Therapies
  • People do not have to be in treatment to access Drop In/Needle Exchange/Coffee Slot/Wound Clinic and vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B. Referral
  • Self referral
  • Referral from other agency Opening Times Service Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Drop In and Needle Exchange 11:00am - 5:00pm on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays.  11:00am - 7:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays

New Beginnings – Structured Day Care Programme/ In-Patient/ Outreach programme

  • The project aims to deliver a client centred service incorporating a holistic care plan approach, drawing on the strengths of various agencies and interventions to offer a seamless service to enable each individual client to develop a healthier, independent, and drug-free lifestyle. This tier 3 service is an identifiable but integral part of a comprehensive rehabilitation programme
  • Structured Day Care Programme – a twelve week rolling programme group, operating Monday to Friday
  • Outreach programmes at Wharf House, Probation service and Mexborough
  • Early intervention and aftercare programme
  • Groups are held on problem solving skills, therapeutic CBT work, relapse prevention, reasoning and rehabilitation, diversionary activities, anger management, cultural diversity, life skills, drug awareness, relaxation and complementary therapy
  • There is also access to welfare advice and employment/housing support
  • In-patient detox programme based on social model - tier 3 referral only
  • Supported accommodation
  • Doncaster resident or have Doncaster connections (e.g. parents still live in Doncaster)
  • 18 years and over
  • Desire to be Illicit drug free Professional referral only
  • Open Day first Friday in the month

  • Peer Support & SMART Recovery Group: Thursdays 1pm - 3pm
